Event Website with Registration & Ticketing strategy
DEI in Tech Summit 2023 was an event dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the tech industry—not only in the Netherlands but across Europe. Around 400 participants attended, and panels and workshops were led by influential industry figures.
This was the first paid event organized by Techleap, which supports Dutch startups. As part of a small team, I was responsible for the ticketing strategy, creating the website with a ticketing system, designing graphic materials, and managing participant communication.
Event website with registration
For the DEI in Tech Summit 2023 website, we used Swoogo, a platform designed specifically for events. While the tool had some visual limitations, it offered extensive capabilities for participant registration, ticket sales, and communication—all of which I managed during the project.
The event branding was created by another designer, and I developed the website based on her concept.
Ticketing strategy
We implemented a flexible ticketing system to make the event as inclusive as possible. Tickets were tailored to participants’ relationship with Techleap, with discounts for community members and the Diverse Leaders in Tech program.
Early Bird and Sliding Scale options ensured accessibility, while a group discount encouraged larger teams to join. The registration system was integrated with the CRM, automatically matching participants to the correct ticket type. This approach balanced planned revenue with broad access to the conference.
