Logo & Live Magazine
In 2018, I had the opportunity to work on a project for Buma Cultuur—the organization behind many of the Netherlands’ leading cultural initiatives. Together with a small team, we created the first edition of a live magazine for the Buma Music in Motion conference.
I was involved in every stage of the project: from selecting the tools that would support our work and recruiting journalists, to planning the team’s activities for the event day, and finally executing the live magazine itself. It was an incredibly rewarding and valuable experience.
Logo

The name and logo of the magazine needed to be consistent and harmonize with the Buma Music in Motion conference. That’s why we chose the name BMIM Magazine in Motion, with BMIM serving as a clear abbreviation of the event.
At the time, the conference branding was based on bold black-and-white rectangles and vibrant colors, which had a strong influence on the logo design. My goal was to create a mark that would seamlessly fit within the overall visual identity of the event.
Live magazine
The conference program was very intense—panels ran concurrently in several sessions throughout the day. The organizers wanted participants to get the most out of the event, so the main goal of the magazine was to capture the key points from all discussions and present them in an accessible format immediately after each panel session.
This was made possible by Adobe Spark (now discontinued), which also allowed the project to be completed on a limited budget. The first edition of the magazine recorded over 1,600 views—an excellent result considering the conference had around 300 attendees.
